Activated Carbon for Water Treatment

Activated carbon has been demonstrated to be an excellent filter for tastes, odors, and contaminants in water. Activated carbon is a type of material that has been addressed to enhance the porosity of the individual granules, yielding a large surface area suitable for adsorption. A bigger surface area is significant in adsorption of pollutants because it establishes an enhanced environment for dispersed matter absorption. Carbon’s widespread availability make it an attractive media for an array of applications.

Point of Entry and Point of Use Water Treatment

Carbon filters are commonly used in industrial/residencial areas either at the point of entry (POE) or the point of use (POU), where water is treated before it is taken for consumer use. Ecogreen is a manufacturer and exporter of POE and POU water filters with a immensely high grade of coconut shell-based activated carbons.

Point of Entry

Point of entry (POE) filter, filters the water that is about to be filtered, as a result you get the water that is two step purified. Ecogreen can provide coconut shell-based activated carbons that will purify water (removing pesticies, pollutants, chlorine and other harmful compounds) and will also remove undesired taste or odours.

Coconut Granular Activated Carbon (CGAC)

Coconut-based Granular activated carbon, often abbreviated to CGAC, is a high purity form of carbon characterized by its vast surface area and is used in Portable water purification. Particle sizes of the granules typically of ‘mesh size’ depending on the desired end-use for the material.

Point of Use Filters

Point of use (POU) filters, generally are used in edge of faucets, showers, water dispensers and even filtration pitchers.  Ecogreen can provide coconut shell-based granular activated carbons (CGAC) impregnated with silver, copper and zinc, which helps lead, bacteria, particulates and provides various health benefits

Carbon Block

Carbon filters are a key component in water purification. It’s likely that activated carbon block filters have special features that allow them to remove up to 99 percent of total suspended matter, volatile organic compounds, dirt, toxic metals, chloramines, and other pollutants from drinking water.

Carbon block can be used in a range of applications, such as point-of-use (POU) and whole-house household water filtering, pre- and post-filters in reverse osmosis (RO) systems, and in different industrial processes.
